About the Artist
"While creating, I lose myself in the process or the
journey, time and existing stops. All but the flow from mind to hand to paper
remains."
Laurel Siegmund's inspiration comes from living each day as it comes and enjoying
the synchronicity of the day's events. She feels that the talented, nurturing people
she surrounds herself with makes for a very creative, positive atmosphere. Her works
include invitations, announcement and certificates for weddings, conferences
or other social events, nametags, place cards, menus for banquests, quotations, monograms,
and more. She has done work for Marcel Schurman and other private clients(*) throughout the
country. Many of Laurel's broadside pieces use original poetry that conveys her strong
feelings for an optismistic, non-violent, happy world. Her work has been featured in
the Lt. Governor's Office in Olympia, Washington, the Smithsonian Institute, SOMERSET
STUDIO MAGAZINE, and in venues in and around the Seattle/Tacoma area. Laurel focuses
on her client's special and unique needs, and gives them her full attention. Making your
special occasion custom to your specifications is the best part of her work.
